THE LINKEDIN EFFECT

You may look at ADPR’s social media presence and say, WOW, how does she do all that? Well, the reason is I have help! Corey Brausch Hurley, who runs Seven Willows Social Media Agency (check her out on Instagram here), has helped hone my social media game, most recently with LinkedIn. I’ve been so impressed that I thought it only fair that I share some of her expertise with you. The below is a post Corey compiled with some helpful tips to get you using LinkedIn in the most effective way for your business.

You might think LinkedIn is still a stuffy corporate platform, but it’s moved past that. Think of it as… a networking party at the new popular restaurant in town. LinkedIn can be a game-changer for small business owners and entrepreneurs aiming to establish their authority and grow a referral network.

With over 700 million professionals worldwide, LinkedIn stands as a formidable platform for forging valuable connections and fostering business growth.

To start, ensure your LinkedIn profile exudes professionalism, captures your unique expertise and also your great personality! Your profile serves as a virtual business card, so optimize it with industry-relevant keywords to enhance discoverability. Insert a few fun facts about yourself to appear more personable and approachable.

Engage your network by consistently sharing insightful content, such as industry trends, success stories, or practical tips. This not only establishes you as a thought leader but also nurtures meaningful connections with your audience.

Participating in industry-specific groups and discussions can further expand your network. Actively seek out connections and initiate personalized conversations, showcasing how you can provide value to their endeavors. However, avoid hitting the “connect” button for professionals you have never met before. Reach out to a mutual peer for an introduction. This helps you stand out from the crowd.

When it comes to content, consider sharing articles, videos, or infographics that resonate with your target audience. Thought-provoking posts, success stories, challenges you’ve overcome and behind-the-scenes glimpses of your business can captivate your audience!

Remember, LinkedIn is a platform where professionals come for serious inquiries. Encourage previous and current clients or partners to endorse you or write recommendations. This will increase your credibility and foster trust among potential collaborators and clients! Think of it as your own Google review but for LinkedIn!

By harnessing the power of LinkedIn effectively, small business owners and entrepreneurs can elevate their brand presence, expand their network, and drive tangible business growth.
